The Maxim 1 is a lightweight version of the original Air Max shoe, using lighter materials like a Flywire composite upper and a thin mesh toe-box, and served as part of Nike Sportswear’s reinvention of its classic silhouettes. This new tonal Blue Spark colorway says that we might expect more, but it’s strange to see a colorway so close to the tonal Varsity Royal that released just a year ago. This version features a golden yellow forefoot outsole and black at the heel for a bit of contrast.
