By now, you’ve probably seen glimpses of the white on white Louis Vuitton boat shoes designed by Kanye West. Now we get our first up-close look at the next installment of this eagerly awaited collaboration. The second of 5 sneakers cooked up by Kanye is this incredible all red sample. The shoe has a modern feel thanks to the exaggerated heel flap, but somehow still maintains a classic look. No stranger to trend-setting fashion, Mr. West got the idea for the heel design from a character from the cult 80’s sci-fi flick, Dune. Combining fashion with function, the heel flap is said to be intended to make tucking pants easier. Another nice touch is the raised Louis Vuitton logos on the tongue and sole. Release is scheduled for June at Louis Vuitton stores, but no word yet on price. The safe bet would be to pick your jaw up off the floor and start saving your money now. via The New York Times.
