Generally when you see a sneaker bearing a particular year in its name, the year in question is when the model first hit the scene. The adidas cross Originals Trainer ’72 has bit of a different history, first dropping in 1964 under the Olympia moniker, they were eventually renamed in honor of the Munich Olympics in 1972. Despite the name change, this re-release stays true to the original, with a rich tumbled leather that is capped off nicely on the front end by a perforated section. The adidas cross Originals Training ’72 most closely resembles the Gazelle, with its straightforward low-top styling and thin strip running down the toecap. This retro is now available at Size? in both a clean white and a nice burnt brown colorway. Hit the jump to get a full look at the adidas cross Originals Training ’72.
