A trip back in time fifteen or twenty years would reveal a sneaker landscape utterly alien to today’s relatively spoiled sneakerheads. Things were much more regimented back then during a time before anyone had ever thought to utilize familiar design cues for hybrid releases, and back before the skate and ‘traditional’ sport worlds had been so thoroughly cross-pollinated. It was a time for flannel shirts and wide-leg JNCOs, under which you might find a pair of Doc Martens boots like these new Valentino Garavani Roman Stud high-top sneakers are so obviously modeled after. Now fast-forward back to the present and we’ve got Off the Wall applying their signature alt style to this iconic silo and adding in the trendy leopard print for good measure; how do these newfangled classics compare to Vans’ other lifestyle offerings? Check them out in more images after the jump and grab yours today from Kicks-Crew.
