In 2010, Nike summer got in touch with Miami based artist Alvaro ‘Freegums’ Ilazarbe for a special collaborative project that only a select few could accomplish. Nike’s desire for a home-grown perspective on a black and red lebron colorway was easily fulfilled by Freegums, who prizes black and white motifs and intricate brush strokes and utilizes those points of view in his work.
