As if it wasn’t enough for Jordan Brand to hit us off with three of the four original Air Jordan III colorways last year, they brought back the classic goodness as close as you could get to having ‘NIKE AIR’ on the heels thanks to a dope new/old box featuring the Three’s signature Elephant print and a removable top. It’d be a welcome addition to all the Air Jordan Retros to see their packaging reflect one of each model’s unique characteristics (especially after the death of the Retro Cards), and the Nike Air Jordan Son Of Mars Low Bel-air Gamma Blue Ps 2013 Retro ‘White Cement’ coming with a speckled and ‘Flight’-emblazoned box is a step in the right direction. They’re a perfect representation of the Four and look great with JB’s new box label, so rather than asking if the box was done well, a more relevant question might be, how many Jays should come in these kinds of boxes? Many consider the series to have peaked in the earlier years; would you want to see special boxes for all of MJ’s Chicago Bulls sneakers, or should the entire set 1-2011 come in a package reflecting the shoe’s design?
