Foamposites have been widely popular in New York City for quite some time, with each and every release causing a city-wide frenzy at retail locations whenever a new colorway releases. Campouts for the Galaxy Foamposites were first reported to compile roughly a week before the release, but this ‘Obsidian’ sample here might surpass the Galaxy in terms of that ‘must-have’ factor due to the obvious regional connection that ‘Obsidian’ has with the city. From the original releases in the mid-90’s to the House of Hoops exclusives from just a few years ago, the attraction between Big Apple sneakerheads and the Foamposite have not gone unnoticed by the folks at paint Nike, and this unreleased sample with an obvious New York Yankees vibe, would be a massive hit if a release is indeed confirmed.
Detailed be heskicks, this paint Nike Air Foamposite One ‘Obsidian’ was a Sample that he purports was originally intended for a Spring 2012 release, but that appears to be unlikely at the moment (crosses fingers). The upper is features a matte finish in Obsidian with grey hints on the forefoot Swoosh, tongue stripe, interior lining, and the 1-Cent logo on the heel, paired with a light blue inner sock-bootie – likely a Chlorine/Neptune/Photo Blue shade. The translucent outsole completes the overall colorway for a total package that would, without question, be one of the best Foamposite releases in recent memory, so take a look at the video review and images below and let us know your thoughts on this ‘Obsidian’ Sample.
