The first ‘Year of the Dragon’ Air Jordan 9 Birmingham Barons was a fairly understated affair in black silk. This new design? Couldn’t be more different while utilizing the same silo and theme. The AF1 Low ‘Year of the Dragon’ II offers a twist on the primary pigment colors with a red, teal and gold pairing that’s given a nice boost from the white leather-wrapped midsole. These are covered in detail, from the embossed suede dragon scale sections to the multicolor woven tongue and insanely patterned insoles, and come in the same dragon-covered AF1-XXX packaging we saw from the first drop. Might there also be a navy edition on tap with a wooden box to rival the first YOTD’s ornate golden applique? These have just become available today at retailers like WESTNYC, but other spots may have them available tomorrow as well, so don’t miss out!
