Closing out this week’s featurette of the Nike Free Run 2 Woven Leather Pack in our Classics Revisited column is one of the earliest Nike x Football collaborations and certainly one of the most unique colorways in the shoe’s history – the Nike Free Run 2 Woven Leather Pack ‘Juventus’. This 2003 release was created as a tribute to one of the sport’s most historic clubs, which also owns the distinction as one of the oldest clubs ever and certainly one of the most historically respected and influential in its home country of Italy. Despite some scandalous developments involving the club over the last decade, Juventus has orchestrated a ‘comeback’ by accomplishing some notable feats in their return to Serie A, and even opened up a new stadium this past September.
The club’s signature colors is the unmistakable white/black bold-striped shirts, finished off with hints of golden yellow; these colors have been worn by the team for over a century, and also make up the club’s official Juventus F.C. badge even in its most recent form. Aside from the striped distinction, Juventus is also marked by two golden stars representing their 20 Serie A championships. which sit above the badge and on the embroidered tongue of Nike Free Run 2 Woven Leather Pack. The team is also represented by a pink color, which is a throwback to an old jersey worn by the team prior to the white/black striped shirts, but the more prevalent inspiration undoubtedly lies within the colorway selected for Nike Free Run 2 Woven Leather Pack. If you’ve got the Juventus 95s in your stash, consider yourself a true Nike Free Run 2 Woven Leather Pack Cheap!
