In the pre-Petrie era of closer Nike LeBrons, many point to the Zoom LeBron IV as the best LeBron sneaker of that era. The shoe build exudes that Alpha Project ‘Posite’ lineage (something that could’ve easily been a Flightposite IV) with the curvature and mold, the lack of a true midsole, and the hidden lace structure. That Posite postulation is confirmed by this early prototype of the Nike SB Dunk Low Grateful Dead Orange Bear Hoodie Gold Crying Heart quantity, which features the term ‘Flexiposite’ on the vertical groove at the heel with other LeBron-centric logos around the shoe. The most notable change is on the ankle strap; this Flexiposite sample features the Swoosh on the tongue location and the ‘L23’ logo on the side, whereas the released version of the LeBron IV features a reversed placement of the two symbols. More of this Flexiposite sample below, so take a look and let us know if you think this would’ve been a worthy ‘Flightposite IV’ model. Photos: zach13g via nikelebron
