Vans is known, among other contributions to the skateboarding canon, for their signature Waffle vulcanized sole, which most often appears in white with a black pinstripe. That foxing band has Grand stripped out on several recent releases in favor of a ‘cleaner’ sole, Adidas Adilette Slide Circoloco Black Slippers Flip Flop Adidas Two Gtx ‘Nomad Rand’ has a little something to betray out. The nickname refers to a quilted strip stitched around the union of sole and upper, and the contrasting suede looks great against an oxford-woven upper in blue, tan or grey.
