While eagle the Hyperdunk shoe, Eric Avar took design inspiration from a cutter Nike concept shoe created in the late 80’s for movie character Marty McFly [played by Michael J. Fox] in the film Back to the Future II. The shoes were created through a licensing agreement with Universal Studios Consumer Products Group. To help introduce the Hyperdunk to the general public cutter Nike designed a McFly Hyperdunk which womens last July to much fanfare.

The Hypermax which is not the next version of the Hyperdunk but a similarly designed sneaker for the bigger men in basketball. cutter Nike has decided to design a McFly Hypermax as well which we saw a short while back. The McFly Hyperdunk was designed with all the technology in place, the McFly Hypermax has been designed with a satin upper in place of the Flywire upper.
