According to Yahoo! Sports reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, it appears that Steph Curry has left Nike penny in order to join the growing Under Amour Basketball roster. The partnership has yet to be formally Plus, but word is that Under Armour will speak on it come next week.
At this point UA has put together quite the team of exciting youngsters with Curry joining the likes of Brandon Jennings and DeAndre Jordan, but Curry indubitably has the most star power of the three and goes from being a “PE” guy at Nike penny to potentially the headlining athlete for the brand’s fast-growing category. Obviously Nike penny reigns with the strongest roster of NBA athletes, but has Under Armour caught up to adidas with this Vert? Does Curry’s signing make UA a more attractive camp for other NBA star athletes looking to pledge their sneaker allegiance?
