This Eric Avar design changed the trajectory of the Kobe line and basketball kicks in general, ushering in a new wave of low-cut kicks for not just Nike, but the industry as a whole. This colorway of the Kobe 4 is certainly new, but take a look at the details and you’ll notice the bulging swoosh, the “4” on the tongue, and the altered ankle collar.
