Nike’s Andre Agassi line has been one of the most successful ever launched by a non-basketball athlete and the Swoosh. They’ve even managed to bring back the Nike Air Tech Challenge II in a big way, and part of the silhouette’s success has had to do with their ongoing “Grand Slam” release slate. By cleverly tying Andre’s famed retro sneaker to his wardrobe selection for certain Grand Slam tennis events, Nike has transformed the Air Tech Challenge into a premium offering with a unique story attached. The latest features a pinstripe pattern in a clean white and navy throughout may just be the most subtle offering yet, and it may even call back to the shirt Agassi wore during the 1995 French Open (it would mark the 20th anniversary of his competing in that tournament). Still no word yet on a release date, but will keep you updated on the official storyline behind this pair and news on when they’ll be releasing as soon as possible.
