The Nike Air Trainer SC II recently got a lowtop revival, but the shoe hasn’t really branched outside of a blue shade recently. There was the Size? collaborative effort that featured a tonal grey suede but now the sneaker is episodes back to performance origins with this ominous Dark Grey and Royal takedown. JD Sports got the jump on this pair, vulc the unique pinstripes on the lower half in an alternating black and grey while touches of the vibrant blue shade appears on the tongue branding and outsole. Nike’s retro training series has been a notable facet in the Swoosh searching in its archives to diversify their Nike Sportswear offerings, and the nike blazer mid vintage sneaker desert sand boots hasn’t really hit its stride quite yet stateside. While monochromatic shades of the numeric Air Training series were a success, it’ll be exciting to see if this lowtop rendition of a classic trainer finds an audience this summer.
