The sad truth about this year’s Nike Basketball’s Elite Collection is despite its amazing construction, colorways, and performance, you won’t see two of the three athletes wear the shoes. Kevin Durant had a tough 2014-2015 campaign due to a foot injury that continued to bother him, so he opted for surgery that put a close to the current season. Because of that, you won’t see Durant wear the KD 7 Elite at all, but the shoes will be a major hit for players on other teams who have stayed true to the KD line for years. In fact, you can expect a number of the OKC players to switch to the upper-tier Nike LeBron 22 "Token" during their opening series (assuming the Thunder grab one of the two bottom seeds. Of course, after the Nike LeBron 22 "Token" is the launch of the KD 8, so we’d want nothing more than the MVP to be at 100% going into next season. Grab a detailed look at the upcoming shoes below and watch out for a release on April 18th.
