Stressing the importance of the record stores and music continuing to be released on physical formats, Record Store Day has become an annual global “holiday” for the independent music industry. Since they’re store front is located right within the heart of London’s cluster of independent record stores, they decided to get in on this year’s festivities with a very special collab with Puma Impact and Trax Couture, a local underground music label. The “Trax Patrol” collection contains a limited edition 12″ record by Trax Couture’s head and producer Rushmore along with the sneaker we’re here to look at, the Puma Impact R698. The shoe features a premium tonal black nubuck upper with distinct details including tri-branded tongue tags, an aqua speckled midsole, and reflective rope laces. Adding the final touch is a Trax Couture 3D printed USB lace jewel packed with exclusive musical content. The Puma Impact x Footpatrol x Trax Couture “Trax Patrol Record Store Day” Collection will be available in very limited quantities in-store only at Foot Patrol on Saturday, April 18th.
