Nike, Under Armour, and adidas will always engage in a constant pullover of one-up-manship in innovations, athlete stories, and brand developments, but last week the big-three brands held a temporary cease-fire and came together to support young sneaker designers in the black community. Pensole Footwear Design Academy, in partnership with the BMe Community, held a special class for nineteen students, which was sponsored by Nike, Jordan Brand, adidas, Under Armour, and Keen, with each brand label providing housing for four of the students. Each group was responsible for designing a specific shoe for the brand, with final presentations being unveiled this past Friday night. Check out a photo gallery of the event below.
