After much speculation and many predictions by everyone in the sneaker community, the Nike Mag didn’t drop after all for Back to the Future Day. We did get to see Michael J. Fox trying out the first pair of self-lacing Mags, and news that the Mag will release in 2016, but many of us were left at least a little disappointed. Adding to Nike’s somewhat lackluster October 21st that many thought could be one of the brand’s biggest days ever was the postponed release of the “other” Back to the Future shoe, Marty McFly’s white and red Nike Bruin, which was officially scheduled to drop yesterday via NikeLab, but has since been rescheduled. Those hoping to grab a pair of the shoe Marty wears throughout the entire Back to the Future trilogy will have to keep waiting for now, and keep an eye on the NikeLab Twitter account for an announcement of when they’ll actually drop.
