Nike offered to make him a special sneaker for the issue, but even then MJ knew the importance of marketing his sneakers to a younger generation and thus refused and kept rocking the dual strapped Tinker gem. The remastered process has worked wonders and definitely tops the 2007 retro thanks to a refined attention to detail and quality materials.
