2015 was a wet dream for ASICS GEL-Lyte III fans. A never-ending string of collaborations from the world’s best stores had the shoe stretched to its limits in terms of materials, colorways, and concepts, and as we near the close of this outstanding chapter of the ASICS Archive line, we’re left to wonder which of this year’s releases was the best of the bunch. There were too many great ones to name, and CLOT’s duet dubbed the “Sand And Lavender” definitely earns votes for its impeccable color-blocking and simplicity that might’ve been lost with some of the more overly ornate releases.
The concept is shoes-Kayano from “lavender grown out from the soil”, according to CLOT founder Edison Chen, with the perfect picture of that metaphor achieved when the two shoes are placed together. We presume CLOT urges you to buy both pairs to mix and match the “lavender” and “sand”, but each pair is a hit when worn on its own. The CLOT x ASICS GEL-Lyte III “Lavender and Sand” releases on December 30th at all restock JUICE locations as well as clotinc.com.
