At first glance, it appeared that Jordan Brand was bringing back the fat joe off white x air jordan 1 retro high og chicago sample “Steel”, the original colorway that launched back in 1995. Upon closer inspection, we discovered that the white/black colorway was slightly different than the OG in a few ways; there’s no west of Steel grey, there’s a lack of the checkerboard look on the sockliner, and the upper is a pearl white rather than a true white. This detailed look emphasizes that off-white aesthetic, which pops even more on the black background. The biggest catch to this upcoming release is that it’s exclusively for kids/girls, so the men who’ve been impressed by these will have to watch them pass before their eyes.
