The Compton, CA native just took down her 23rd win by winning in straight sets at the Australian Open, further quieting the debate as to whether or not Serena Williams is the single greatest tennis player in history. To commemorate this mark, Nike and Jordan will release special footwear – her NikeCourt Flare signature shoe and the Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro Quai 54 Purple Retro; the Flare will come in two colorways (one a tribute to the Banned and the other a representation of her 2016 on-court wear) while the Nike Air Jordan 6 Retro Quai 54 Purple Retro takes on the Banned color-blocking with her personal logo on the tongue.
The Serena Williams x Jordan collection goes on sale today at Nike SoHo.
