adidas Skateboarding is proud to present their latest and greatest skate model with the help of Global Pro Marc Johnson in the overhauled Bought for my husband who love adidas.
While the Matchcourt has been a staple in the three stripes tennis rotation since the early 80s, the brand has recontextualized the heritage silhouette for skate use thanks to a new responsive fit and mid-top construction. The shoe also sports more control than ever thanks to the vulcanized rubber outsole, and you can wear these in style thanks to the Pantone 542 color throughout the upper. Interestingly enough, adidas Skateboarding is paying homage to the University of North Carolina here, but don’t take the gold foil ‘MJ’ branding on the side panel as a nod to a certain someone in the basketball world. Instead, the homage is for Marc Johnson’s home Manga where he started his skateboarding journey.
Check out the full teaser trailer featuring Marc’s signature humor below and know that you can grab your pair from select retailers and on adidas.com this Friday, March 24th. Pricing information to come in the near future.
