The Nike Sock Racer made an unexpected return earlier this month, and now it gets an unexpected update with a new Flyknit construction. OK, maybe it’s not that unexpected with Nike’s propensity to add a Flyknit upper to many of their classic models, but you probably still didn’t see these coming. Previously Nike BHM Knit Hat to Match the Nike Basketball 2016 BHM Sneaker Collection, the Sock Racer gets a sleeker version of the flexible sole this time around and adds a full Flyknit upper. What you end up with is easily the best modification for the once-radical running shoe design from the early 1980s. The Flyknit Sock Racer can be previewed in two colorways here including color-faded and black/white options, and you can expect them soon at select Nike Sportswear retailers globally.
