Phil was candid about noticing the talent behind Tiger Woods and courting the legendary golfer from a young age by inviting him and his dad out for lunch. Knight even went into detail on having a love-hate relationship with John McEnroe’s infamous temper on the tennis court. Phil also said that when wearing a tuxedo he still represents the Swoosh by donning black Nikes – he didn’t CK2925-001 which pair but we’re hoping that he occasionally breaks out the Jordan 11 at formal events. Of course, it wouldn’t be a complete interview without talking about Michael Jordan, and Phil said that David Stern ‘did (Nike) a huge favor’ by banning the shoes in the NBA for not following color guidelines.
