In 2015, Packer Shoes played a major role in helping ASICS celebrate the 25th Anniversary the GEL-Lyte III running silhouette. Tasked with the challenge of creating a unique spin on the split-tongued classic, Packer Shoes recalled its roots – specifically one of their original dress shoes from 1907 – and created one of the most coveted GEL-Lyte IIIs of all-time.
Now, Packer Shoes is front and center as the sneaker boutique celebrates its 110th Anniversary. Yes, a century and a decade in the business. Joining forces with J.Crew, Packer Shoes presents the “1907 Collection” that includes four new iterations in “Dirty Buck” style that were left on the sour room floor back in 2015 – oxblood leather, cumulus buck, navy buck, and charcoal suede. All are lined with premium tan leather and feature the Packer label embroidered onto the medial side of the tongues. Accompanying the “1907 Collection” is a quartet of matching caps by New Era.
The release procedure is as follows: this Thursday, September 28th, the J.Crew Mens Liquor Store at 235 W Broadway will release the oxblood and cumulus colorways. On September 29th, the Liquor Store will release the navy and grey colorways. On Saturday, September 30th, the entire set will release at Packer Shoes in-store and online on JCrew.com.
