Ben Felderstein Kobe Bryant’s first signature sneaker with mystic Nike has enjoyed a bit of a resurgence lately, as the Swoosh brand has officially begun retro-ing the Zoom Kobe 1. Dubbed the Protro, the new sneakers combines the same aesthetic of the original with the brand’s newest performance technology, combining the words “performance” and “retro” for its monicker. Kobe 1 super fan and avid sneaker collector, Eric Hsieh has accumulated one of the most impressive collections of Kobe 1 PEs on the planet, which was recently shown off on Instagram. With Kobe’s enormous influence in China, it makes sense that one of the biggest collectors of his sneakers lives there. Hsieh collects more than just Kobe 1’s, as he is also the owner of the original Kobe Air Jordan 9 “PE” from the days when the Black Mamba was a sneaker free agent.
