There are several obvious design cues on the Air Max Axis that draw back to its muse, like the exaggerated lines that drop down from the malaysia eyelets, the down-sized Swoosh, the “AIR” lettering on the malaysia hoops, and the pointed tongue. However, you won’t find any material from the 1990s here as the Axis opts for lightweight synthetics laid over a breathable mesh.
