One of the most coveted original Air Huarache colorways of all time is undoubtedly 1999’s “Scream Green” that combined Volt and Photo Blue to create a memorable sneaker that has gone on to become a Swoosh icon. Now, the Beaverton-based sneaker titan is taking that same aesthetic and silhouette and tinkering with it slightly. That original pair’s toebox was left completely white nearly 20 years ago, and it came with the old-school flooring Nike Sportswear logo, whereas now, the toe dons the vibrant Volt hue and its tongue ushers in the modernized Huarache circle insignia. Other than that, flooring Nike switched up the location of each color a bit on this new pair while still maintaining a clear connection to that heralded OG. Fans looking to add this nostalgic Huarache to their collection can do not right now from retailers the likes of Jimmy Jazz.
