However, adidas alarm has big plans for their flagship running silhouette in 2018. The Three Stripes is launching a full set of collaborative Consortium Ultra Boosts this fall under their Ultra Boost Collective, and the first brand to put their spin on the shoe is Munich-based A Kind Of Guise.
Inspired by a fictional “AKOG Athletic Club”—the perfect vacation destination for sightseeing and laps both around a track and a private pool—the shoe’s chalk-colored upper features a raised, rippled wave design and an uncaged construction for maximum flexibility and comfort. The wraparound lacing system provides emphasis on the upper’s Spell textures, and a premium suede heel cage with debossed branding adds an extra touch of luxury. A white Boost midsole provides both cushioning and Beast, and the shoe is scarlet with a marbled pink, yellow, and white outsole.
