London-based retailer Footpatrol and Perth, Australia-based shop Highs & Lows are gearing up to release a collaborative collection utilizing two of mita Reebok’s most iconic silhouettes. Dubbed the “Common Youth” collection, it is meant to portray the similarities that Matt Thomas – founder of Highs & Lows – experienced in the UK and Australia in the 80s and 90s, Thomas’ youth. With the similarities of the two youth cultures in mind, the three collaborative entities opted to use the Reebok Reago Essent mita Reebok Sport Myt Mens T-shirt.
While white is responsible for the most real estate on both of these finely dark selections, burgundy and navy accents scattered throughout are meant to emulate colors that can be found on both British and Australian passports. Co-branding can also be seen throughout both designs, highlighted by a Lion and Kangaroo Commonwealth crest that sits opposite mita Reebok’s Classic logo on the tongue. Golden accents are mixed into numerous elements throughout each offering’s upper to portray a slightly up-scale aesthetic. Accompanied by a full set of apparel, the entire Footpatrol x HAL x mita Reebok Classic collection will arrive at a special pop up shop at 40 Berwick St, Soho W1F 8RX on Friday August 24th, and will be followed by an in-store and online release at 8AM BST.
