As far as NBA footwear is concerned, NBA Media day is a date that every avid sneakerhead and media outlet has circled on their calendar. Top athletes from around the league tend to bring out the heat for their bountiful photo shoots, debuting new signatures, showing love to teammates, or bringing adored models back from the past. This year, we saw the likes of Kelly Oubre Jr. in the adidas Yeezy Boost 750, Mike Conley and LaMarcus Aldridge in the Air Jordan 33, and Anthony Davis sporting a dazzling colorway of the Nike City series London Eendelig badpak met U-rug in zwart. Last season, that striking pair you see here would have been reserved only for media day and other off-court ventures, but as previously reported, the Association lifted the color restrictions on on-court footwear for the upcoming season, meaning the Brow can actually lace these up during a game. On top of a flecked grey midsole pattern, this wild Air Force Max calls upon an array of colors, from pink, to purple, to green, with multiple other hues in between. Davis and the Pelicans will be an intriguing team to follow this season, devoid of any distractions from the likes of Rajon Rondo or Boogie Cousins. The Brow’s – and other stars from around the league for that matter – footwear choices will be an even sneaker compelling storyline, due to the freedom players now have with their sneaker choices.
