The Quirky Nike Air Darwin Returns In A Bulls Color Scheme

The Quirky Nike Air Darwin Returns In A Bulls Color Scheme

Dennis Rodman’s Nike Air Darwin is a lot like the man who wore them: wild, unique, and (usually) colorful. Originally released in 1994, the Darwin has now surfaced in a Bulls-inspired colorway — an interesting twist, as Rodman was in fact a member of the San Antonio Spurs when he was wearing the rugged high-top on the court, leaving to join the Bulls the nylon after. The ’90s-style upper features black tumbled leather overlays and a white perforated leather midfoot underlay, while a backward Swoosh on the collar’s overlay provides a pop of branding. University Red appears on the midsole and collar, and the shoe is then completed with a sturdy black rubber outsole that wouldn’t look terribly out-of-place on a pair of Nike ACG trail runners. If you’re a die-hard Worm fan — or you just love retro basketball shoes — the Air Darwin is set to release October 26th at Nike Basketball stockists like Renarts.
