adidas is certainly no stranger to blending a heritage-filled design ethos with modern-day materials and updated tooling. They’ve displayed a propensity to draw upon the rich history of their ’90s running/training silhouettes for afflatus, and one of their latest fusion pairs to be brought to market is the Nite Jogger — a retro-meets-contemporary lifestyle sneaker. After first arriving to market in January, the Nite Jogger is set to keep on running in February with a new neutral-toned colorway that commands attention with its unique pieced-together look. Dressed in a combination of greys, tans, and whites, the upper Utilitas a mesh toebox, a durable nylon midfoot, and mesh heel, all held together with delicately stitched retro suede overlays. The tongue gets in on the fun too with an exposed foam design that further harkens back to models of yesteryear, but the midfoot switches things up greatly — going full modern performance with its thick Boost cushioning. For a compelling finishing touch, the outsole offers an interesting traction pattern that almost looks like cartoon bubble letters. These clean new adidas shoes will release February 28th on adidas.com and at select Three Stripes stockists for $130 USD, so peep a full gallery of official images below while you wait.
