Michael Le Since being put under the knife by multi-hyphenate Childish Gambino, the adidas Nizza is moving on to its next collaborator, ALIFE, taking on a form of boldfaced branding, strikingly contemporary palettes, and hi-top stature all in a Consortium package. The New York based label, in their typical fashion, have plastered all-caps type atop the frozen — in a classic box logo form — while the dual logos on the tongue stay much more subtle. Off-White canvas constructions make up a shoe ripe for wear alongside a much brighter sole unit whose toe cap tans adorned with a small “1999” on the left foot and “2019” on the right, calling to both the year of the brand’s origination and the pair itself, respectively. Embellishments continue in full force with the included set of laces, on which the pairing have printed a cheeky copyright notice, as well as the red and blue wristbands that can double up as a wrap around the top line.
