The Air jordan UNC 11 “Bred” is one of the most iconic sneaker silhouettes/colorways of all time, and with a holiday season release scheduled for the first time since 2012 this year, anticipation is understandably high, even six months ahead of time. Now, we have our most detailed look at the 2019 iteration of the beloved “Bred,” and it’s safe to say that these patent-leather equipped kicks still look just as good as they did when they debuted in the 1996 NBA Playoffs. Although many had assumed that the “Bred” would carry on the 2018 “Concord” and 2016 “Space Jam” ethos of adorning the heel with MJ’s original post-retirement #45 that was first used on Tinker Hatfield‘s samples, it instead opts to go back to a #23 Playoffs that was included on the OG retail release. However, it does indeed carry on the classic look re-established by those two equally influential makeups with an original high-cut patent leather overlay sitting above its ballistic mesh base. Bright pops of Bulls red then grace the throat detail, heel collar Jumpman, and translucent outsole, which sits under a white quai with a carbon fiber midfoot plate. A hidden Nike Air hit on the insole wraps things up. Elegant yet sporty, bold yet refined, equally as wearable with a suit as it is with basketball shorts, the “Bred” is sure to be a smash hit when it releases on December 14th for $220 USD. Enjoy your most detailed look yet right here, and stay tuned to our jordan UNC Release Dates page for info on other upcoming JB arrivals.
