Although Jordan Brand’s design ethos is one that always ensures performance comes first, they’ve also debuted a handful of futuristic lifestyle silhouettes over the past months, one of which is the Jordan Defy SP. Combining a high-tech hodgepodge of materials and offering plenty of bold tones as well, the Defy is a truly unique piece of footwear, and now it’s surfaced in a colorway that seemingly pays mind to Jumpman athlete and All-Star guard Victor Oladipo of the Indiana Pacers. The mix-and-match upper uses everything from neoprene to TPE to suede and mesh, and is dressed in a Pacers-esque combination of navy and gold, with plenty of black accents as well. A bold strap crosses the translucent midfoot to ensure lockdown, pull tabs on the heel/tongue ensure easy on/off, and an intentionally off-center heel badge provides further unique embellishment. Down below, this Defy SP deviates greatly from the upper’s color palette, adding bright blue and purple overlays to coincide with the yellow forefoot. A white midsole equipped with Zoom Air cushioning then finalizes the combination of style and performance. From color to materials to cut, this Defy SP is quite unlike anything else on the market, so enjoy a thorough look here and stay tuned to our Jordan Release Dates page for info on their impending Nike.com arrival.
