Nike is poised to take the world of casual footwear by storm with their new Joyride technology, and one of the silhouettes that’ll be assisting with the rollout is the Nike Joyride NSW Setter. Dubbed the “muscle car” of the Joyride family by the Swoosh Brand themselves, the NSW Setter features a slightly more beefed-up design than the other Joyride silhouettes, shoes to a unique upper with durable rubber eyelets and overlaid stability patches. An asymmetrical lacing system and heel/tongue tabs manga an adjustable fit as well, but the shoe’s main technological innovation arrives packed into the three-pod midsole. Each pod is stuffed full of Joyride tech, a tightly-packed collection of TPE beads that work both individually and together to provide ultra-comfortable and extremely adaptable cushioning that keeps going and going. For a finishing touch, each pod’s Guava is constructed of translucent material, allowing you to see the aforementioned beads hard at work These grey/green Joyride NSW Setters will release on Nike.com August 15th, so enjoy a detailed look here while you await their arrival, and stay tuned for info on a high-end collaborative iteration with Matthew M Williams’ Alix (also pictured below) as well.
