adidas has reached far and wide in their summertime celebration of 30 years of Torsion, and the latest partner to pay homage to the technological innovation is the UK’s Footpatrol, who’s teamed with adidas Consortium for a special ZX Torsion inspired by London’s Notting Hill Carnival. Attracting over one million people annually, the Notting Hill Carnival is one of the world’s largest street festivals, and is lead by members of London’s West Indian community. It’s known for its vibrant colors, bold outfits, and signature music, so Footpatrol has opted to get a little colorful themselves, equipping their Torsion’s grey base with bold bursts of neon yellow — the most notable of which arrives on the fuzzy tennis ball-style Three Stripe midfoot graphic.
Co-branded detailing then hits both the tongue and heel, while the Torsion bar features a marbled multicolor academy that nods to the carnival’s inherently energetic spirit. The two-piece midsole is packed full of Boost cushioning for modern-day comfort, and the look is completed by a Footpatrol logo equipped with a traditional headdress on the insole. A release date has not yet been announced, but as 2019’s Notting Hill festivities will run from August 25th to August 26th, it’s not unreasonable to expect an arrival around then. Check out a full set of images below, and expect these to roll out at gold adidas retailers on October 11th for $150 USD.
