Gradients were quite the hot item in the late 1990s, appearing on several of Nike’s hit Air Max models in the Tuned Air family and particularly the Tailwind IVs. Part of the big relaunch of the silhouette, which included collaborations with Supreme and nylon-wrapped militaristic themes, hinged on the color fades that were jumpstarted by the OG. In fact, the Swoosh has shown some reliance to that color-blocking as yet another new colorway emerges that draws pleasant comparisons to picturesque sunrises. A soft orange eventually appears on the nylon underlay, while pink eyelets, beige lace housings and red accents add to the early-morning aesthetic. Nike retailers will stock these soon as the Fall season progresses.
