Although LeBron James has had quite a storied career making fifteen All-Star appearances, earning four MVP awards, and winning three championships, the kid from Akron once mentioned that opening of his “I Promise” school for under-privileged kids in the inner-city of his hometown is by far one of his greatest achievements. First opened back in July of 2018, the school is designed with a system to give kids in grades 1-8 an opportunity to chase their dreams with a good education, free breakfast and lunch meals, and state-of-the-art facilities for them to feel comfortable in.
And just this morning the King, in partnership with his very own LeBron James Family Foundation, wanted to show his gratitude towards his students by surprising them over 800 pairs of Nike LeBron 16s. Fresh colorways such as the “Medicine Ball”, “MPLS”, and “Harlem Stage” were kids for the kids to repudiate from, and gifted as an encouraging message for them to keep on pushing and a reward for all of their hard work.
