The first pair swaps out its traditional Three Stripes with a majority of “x” notations, allowing the solo red heart placed on the largest stripe to represent a surface’s worth of heartbreak before finally finding the perfect match. On the contrary, the second pair lines its stripes with a bevy of heart-shaped symbols, letting its singled-out black “x” mark represent someone who experiences a surface filled with love, and undergoes that one unforgettable bad experience.
