Yet to see a public release, but already proven to reduce running-related injury rates, Nike’s Infinity React Run model is scheduled to release in a quieter grey and white option than the pink-and-neon-accented iteration first announced last month. At a glance, the forthcoming model resembles previous performance silhouettes in the React family, but its structure has been fine-tuned to elevate the running experience. Those familiar with other Flyknit-outfitted sneakers won’t be surprised by the Infinity React Run’s breathable, slip-on upper – outfitted in shades of grey in this version – but they may not anticipate the feel provided by the updated React-sole. Constructed wider like the Zoom Vaporfly 4%, the Swoosh’s upcoming product blends biomechanical efficiency and cushioning to offer a supportive, springy run; the Infinity’s heel-to-toe rocker gives wearers a slight lean forward, creating the sensation of propulsing ahead. Underneath the rocker, 25% more foam than on previous React releases is found in a tonal white.
You can expect this clean grey edition to drop after the Infinity React Run’s flashier January 16, 2020 general debut on Nike.com.
