Although #BlackLivesMatter social media posts and street protests have slightly slowed down in recent weeks, the fight against systemic racism and oppression is still very much alive. And rightfully so, whether it be your neighbors, celebrities, or your favorite sportswear and streetwear brands, many are still taking action and finding ways in which they can support these causes. And next to step up to the plate is Boston-based sneaker/streetwear retailer Concepts who will be conducting a series of high-heat raffles with 100% of the proceeds going to the BLM movement.
First to be raffled off are two rare pairs of their own collaboration — the Concepts x Nike Are To Launch A Brand New Nike Air Max 97 Camo Pack Low Lobster. Those who donate and enter will have their shot at winning the purple and green colorways, both of which released back in 2018 and now sit above the $1k price range on the resell market. The raffle will be live from July 13th at 10am EST through July 19th at 11:59pm EST, and all proceeds collected will be happily donated to the Cambridge chapter of My Brother’s Keeper. Men’s sizes from 7-13 will be included in the range, and raffle tickets will cost $5/ticket ot 5x tickets for $20, 10x for $40 or 20x for $75.
Updated (7/29/2020): Concepts has announced that they are hosting a second raffle featuring the Concepts x Nike Dunk Low Pro SB “Holy Grail” and Concepts x Nike Are To Launch A Brand New Nike Air Max 97 Camo Pack High “Stained Glass.” The raffle will open on Monday, 8/3 and will close on Monday, 8/10, with proceeds benefitting the National Police Accountability Project.
