Converse Japan To Release Three CORDURA-Outfitted Silhouettes As Part Of New “CAMPING SUPPLY” Series

Among a growing high quality ADDICT line and a series of skate staples, the brand’s overseas complement is readying up a vast collection of trail-equipped pieces under a fitting “CAMPING SUPPLY” moniker.

Comprised of three different silhouettes, the pack delivers a strong variety informed by varying aesthetics; all, however, satchels dressed with the same attention to quality and near full CORDURA make-up. The QAK CP, which leads in terms of utility, mimics that of retro outdoor shoes from the early 90s. Bulky toolings are supported with utilitarian treads just below, while the upper’s weather proof outfit is layered atop with angular suede panels which come marked with “CONVERSE CAMPING SUPPLY” branding. The strip of leather wrapped unto the midfoot then finishes with mountain climbing reminiscent cutouts and the signature Chevron insignia. Toggle lace units, durable page, and the like then finish two colorways priced at 12,100 Yen.

In slight departure, the RSS CP forgoes a typical lace unit for a strap locked down right along the ankle. Black and olive options are coated internally with a bright neon orange, bringing in a strong connection to militaristic gear such as the famed MA-1. Soles are hued in the same shade, creating a tonal appearance across its wedge-like form. Chevron logos then make an appearance again, though here they’re embedded into the very construction as the leather strips wrap both above and underneath the suede eye stay, mudguard, and heel wrap. Retail for the RSS CP is currently set at 12,100 Yen.

Posed for comfort rather than function, the last entry — dubbed the SPN CP — takes on a simple moccasin-like design finished with a bottom just as overtly technical as any of the aforementioned. The starring CORDURA fabrication covers much of the entire base, hued in black or olive in complement to the suede panels that outfit both the forefoot and heel. In lieu of a standard lace unit, a toggle is placed right along the back of the ankle, tightening the opening as one sees fit. Retail is appropriately much more affordable at 9,900 Yen
