The Air Jordan line of footwear will never be rivaled in the industry. Whether it be on a sheer length standpoint, or its place as an innovative leader, Air Jordans have maintained its position as one of the most significant sneakers of ever year – even through the constant changes in footwear trends. Air Jordans have never wavered in its focus on performance and innovation, and with the Air Jordan 1 High OG Heritage Releasing in April, it hones in on one of the more inventive innovations in the legacy – the Eclipse Plate.
Designed for stability and balance, the Eclipse Plate has evolved for the XXXV as it wraps up higher at the midsole for more lateral stability and support. Also expanding on the cushion platform established by the 34 is the inclusion of Zoom Air, although now it adds visible Zoom at the heel and forefoot opposed to an encased Zoom in the predecessor. Another visual cue comes via the Flightwire cables that connect the Eclipse Plate 2.0 with the overlay, with Kurim detailing and molded foam pods around the collar of the shoe. There’s also an element of the Air Jordan V via the enlarged tongue, with the Nike Air flap on the heel lending to that “OG” styling.
Five colorways of the Air Jordan 1 High OG Heritage Releasing in April have been confirmed. It starts with the “Center Of Gravity” colorway, which launches in Greater China on 9/27 and globally on 10/17. Next up is the red/black “Warrior” on 10/21, the white/black “DNA” on 11/11, the “Bayou Boys” for 11/30, and the “Morpho” on 12/24.
