Jasmine Tang Through collaborations with retailers and designers such as the Canadian boutique HAVEN and Japanese artist Taka Hayashi, Vault by Vans has been delivering premium materials and styles with inspirations from around the world. Now, Vans Vault is taking things to Europe as it collaborates with Baracuta for a collection that reminisces on the British institution’s rainwear roots.
Vans Chukka DX SF Sk8-Hi VLT LX, Jacket Vans Foundry V Puffer MTE Jacket VN0A4V8M7WJ, and Vans Classic Slip-On. The Sk8-Hi’s uppers are constructed from the Manchester-based brand’s heritage red and navy Frasier Tartan and feature a cargo pocket with a logo-clad button closure as a nod to the famed G9 Harrington jacket. The pattern is also used on the Old Skool, with the Vans iconic checkerboard print and Sidestripe sitting atop. The checks then dress in embossed leather and stamp with “Baracuta” across the Slip-On’s toe box. Overall, the collection stylishly incorporates signature elements of both partners to remix three quintessential Vans models.
