When one thinks of Brazil, he immediately thinks of yellow, green, and blue, the unforgettable color-combination of the Brazilian flag and of the nation’s football kit. With such a storied history in the sport, Nike has collaborated with Brazilian street artist Nunca to put his magic touch on a small collection of Nike Sportswear gear for its Six Collaboration. Nunca designed a crest that features five stars, representing Brazil’s record five FIFA World Cup Championships, and his hieroglyphic handwriting gives an archaelogic touch to a country that already has a storied ancient history. The collection also features great Nike Sportswear kicks like the clothing eyewear accessories polo-shirts men 5 footwear and Nike Dunk High AC. Check out the images after the jump because you should know anything ‘Brazil’ and ‘Soccer’ go hand in hand.
Brazil Artist: Nunca Inspired by Incan symbolism and a primitive style of graffiti called “Pixação,” Sao Paolo street artist Nunca crafted a unique Brazilian kit that connects the people of the favelas to the sport they hold dear. Five stars within the otherworldly, eye-like crest symbolize Brazil’s five championship wins, and Nunca’s hieroglyphic handwriting and pattern (lining the hoodie) connects the kit to the ancients in a modern way.
